The Cannabis Research Center promotes interdisciplinary scholarship on the social and environmental dimensions of cannabis production. Through scientific research and engagement with community, government, and academic entities, the center advances understanding of cannabis agriculture in socio-ecological systems at local, national, and global scales. The center seeks to inform public dialogue and contribute to the development of prosperous communities and healthy environments.
Seeking to be a hub for cannabis research in California, the center focuses on three key areas: development of external funding for cannabis research, opportunities for intellectual exchange for center members, and public events related to cannabis research (workshops, lectures, panel discussions, etc).
